Saudi Arabia exported about 2.6 billion barrels of oil during the past year 2019, with an average daily production of 7.04 million barrels per day, compared to about 2.7 billion barrels with an average of 7.37 million barrels per day during 2018.
According to the analysis of the reports unit in the "Al-Iqtisadiah" newspaper, Saudi Arabia's oil exports decreased 4.5 percent, equivalent to more than 300,000 barrels per day as a result of commitment to the production reduction agreement within the "OPEC +" coalition that includes the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC" and independent producers to restore stability to the market.
Saudi Arabia maintained its position as the largest oil exporter in the world, followed by Russia, Iraq, Canada, and the United States with exports of about 5.3 million barrels per day, four million barrels per day, 3.3 million barrels per day and three million barrels per day, respectively.
The decline in Saudi exports comes as a result of its commitment to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) agreement to cut production that includes members of "OPEC" and independent producers.
The report relied on the data of the joint initiative of "Judy" oil data, which collects data submitted by oil-producing members in international organizations, including the International Energy Agency and "OPEC", while in previous years it relied on the data of the Saudi Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced officially.
During 2019, the average daily export to Saudi Arabia exceeded seven million barrels per day during the six months of the year, the highest in November and December, by 7.37 million barrels per day, while it came less than seven million barrels per day during another six months, The lowest was in September when exports reached 6.67 million BPD.
During the last ten years, Saudi Arabia recorded the highest annual exports in 2012 when it reached 7.63 million barrels per day, while the lowest exports were in 2010 when it reached 6.64 million barrels per day.
Major oil exporters
The ranking of the world's largest oil exporters (their production is above one million barrels per day) came in 2019 in Saudi Arabia, then Russia, Iraq, and Canada. Fifthly, the United States has about three million barrels per day, the UAE has 2.6 million barrels per day, and Kuwait has two million barrels per day.
In eighth place, Nigeria is about 1.9 million barrels per day, Kazakhstan 1.4 million barrels per day and Brazil 1.3 million barrels per day.
While Norway ranked 11th with exports of 1.23 million barrels per day, then Mexico with 1.2 million barrels per day, and finally Angola with 1.1 million barrels per day.
